fullness of time - main riff

Audio Clip From Living Digits

This is also one of my favorite riffs. I came up with this one after learning sweeping arpeggios. I wanted a riff that was arpeggio-based but not sweep picked.

At first, you may have a tendency to emphasize the fretted notes. (I did at least when I was composing it.) The emphasis (downbeat) is on the open string notes. This is one of those riffs where you have to just play it over and over until you don't need to think about just play it.

The notes are followed by the C and B power chords. Then quickly into the Em7 barre chord at the 7th fret, and finalized by the D and E power chords.
