Hammer-ons, along with pull-offs are an absolute
necessity for any guitarist. The very nature of our instrument
demands that these techniques be perfected by both dexterity and
timing.
Hammer-ons and pull-offs are used in all styles and facets
of playing...from classical to metal and everything in between.
In this first video clip, I'm demonstrating the basic
hammer-on technique. The approach is simple...begin with one
note ringing out and create a second note from the first by
fretting with your left hand.
